Description
Founded by Oskar Seifert in 1932, the Seifert workshop is located in Bubenreuth, Germany. Oskar Seifert, who mastered the craft of bowmaking under the guidance of Albert Renz in Erlbach, laid the foundation for a tradition of excellence. The workshop offers a wide range of bows, from student bows to professional level bows crafted by their master bowmakers. Each year, the Seifert workshop produces a limited number of bows, all made entirely by hand. The wood used has been naturally dried in their workshop for over 20 years. Simply for Strings is an authorised stockist of Seifert bows.

The #134 model from Seifert yields a more complex tone and smoother bowing experience when compared to the #129 model. Bow changes, particularly at the frog, feel smooth and controlled, while lifted and bouncing strokes feel both responsive and forgiving. This is a fantastic bow for players seeking a bow that feels planted and produces a rich, rounded sound.
At Simply for Strings, each bow is hand-selected to exacting criteria, including examining the hair, camber of the bow and the bow’s ability and sound across different techniques.
Please note, each bow is unique and handcrafted – your new bow may look slightly different to the photograph used.
