THE ARTIST – CLARENCE CROWELL
Clarence Crowell is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus on photography, videography, and painting. He studied all three at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Originally from Massachusetts where his family had deep roots, he grew up around generations of hard-working fishermen and women. That atmosphere instilled a lifelong love for hard-working communities of misfits. After finding his way to FRET12 he began documenting bands and exploring the world of music. Or as he puts his work “I have deep respect for the weird and wild s***t out there. I’m really envious of people with an authenticity completely their own, it’s hard to find. I’m envious of it so I pursue it wherever I can.”
