This 6×14 Tama SLP Series G-Bubinga Snare Drum is the culmination of years of R&D, delivered at a price point that is hard to believe. First of all, the drum’s appearance is striking. The black nickel hardware is a gorgeous contrast to the highly figured veneer. The thick, 12 ply 10mm bubinga shell projects massive volume with some controlled high frequency tones. Tuned up high, the Tama-LGB146NQB cuts through the swampiest of mixes. Tune it low and you’ll discover some amazing depth and complexity that only Bubinga can deliver.
