Classic Sonor Sounds with Modern Day Quality – The Sonor Vintage Series
The Sonor team, in collaboration with musicians and collectors, dedicated extensive efforts to emulate the Vintage Teardrop drums in their new Vintage Series line. Sonor’s contemporary drum-building expertise was combined with the classic look and sound of vintage drums to produce an instrument that can withstand the demands of modern drumming. Rounded bearing edges on all drums offer the familiar Sonor sound that was introduced in 1975 and continues to be used today on models such as SQ2, Prolite, and Force. The addition of the Vintage Series expands the range of sounds available to drummers, uniquely showcasing the Sonor sound. All drums feature 9-ply / 6 mm cross laminated tension free (CLTF) Beech Shells and are equipped with the redesigned 2.3 mm triple flanged steel Superprofil hoop from the 1950s. To ensure consistent tuning, all Sonor lugs are fitted with the patented TuneSafe technology. Snare drums include a coated Ambassador batter
