Rachmaninov wrote the wordless Vocalise in 1912, originally for Voice and Piano. It is probably one of his most popular Vocal works, famous for its beautiful soaring melody. This popularity has led the work to be transcribed for several instruments and this edition is for Cello with Piano accompaniment.
