This striking Custom Shop H-137 in Neptune Blueburst came to life out of a desire to put a beautiful twist on a simply appointed solid mahogany bodied guitar. By combining tradition with modern appeal, it’s a stunning example of the artistry and versatility of the Custom Shop here in Kalamazoo.
Every detail was chosen and painstakingly hand-crafted to perfection by our master builder to be aesthetically and sonically inspiring. The body and neck are made of hand selected light, solid genuine mahogany making it comfortable and easy to play for smaller statures. The gorgeous Neptune Blueburst finish shimmers inside of the locally sourced, premium Michigan flame-maple veneer top, which helps keep the weight of the guitar down, but not the exquisite beauty. The neck is encrusted with abalone inlays that pop against the dark ebony fretboard, which along with the pearl and abalone diamond “The Heritage” logo adds a beach element to the shimmering ocean top.
We used Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickups in the body, which combined with the lighter, non-weight relieved solid mahogany body create a rich, warm, harmonic PAF tone that sustains for days. Other features include a locking bridge and tailpiece for accurate intonation and Grover tuners with ebony buttons for accurate and reliable tuning.
