Description
Gonzalez is one of the leading manufacturers of world-class hand selected clarinet reeds and saxophone reeds. All the raw materials used in their products are grown at their family plantation in “3 de Mayo” at the foot of the Andes mountains. Since 1982, their mission has been to create the world’s best woodwinds reeds.
- The name “Local 627” is an homage to the musicians’ union in Kansas City (Local 627) which had a rich jazz history, including artists such as Charlie Parker
- The Local 627 Jazz cut has a larger area of scrape (i.e., more cane is removed/filed) which gives the reed a more flexible feel and quicker response as compared to the “Regular Cut” by Gonzalez
- Made with cane from Gonzalez’s own plantation and aged for at least 3 years before manufacturing
Box of 5 reeds.
