The Wonderful World Wall Hanging is hand-embroidered using the Kathiawad technique, which accents embroidery with small mirrors. Founded by the Dominican Sisters following the closure of textile mills in the area, St. Mary’s provides jobs for local women and has for more than 40 years. These women’s income has helped educate a generation of children, many of whom have become the first in their families to attend college. It is a beautiful, handmade work of art and a reminder of our aspirations for exploration and understanding in a diverse world.
