Connectivity
The DCX2496 features 3 analog XLR inputs and 6 analog outputs with 32-96Khz frequency converters and a wide 120dB dynamic range for outstanding sonic integrity. Summing the 3 inputs yields a 4th input source for receiving digital stereo AES/EUB signals, and Behringer’s (included) Link software enables the addition of multiple LMS systems as your needs grow. Each Servo-balanced input and output utilize gold-plated XLR connectors for maximum signal integrity. Behringer’s flexible hands-free 100 – 240 V~ variable power supply delivers no-noise worldwide power flexibility and a superior transient response.
Signal routing
Individual crossover filter types include Butterworth, Bessel, and Linkwitz-Riley (with selectable roll-offs from 6 to 48dB/octave), divided frequency bands for correct speaker routing, maximizing audio quality, and minimizing distortion. Additionally, the DCX2496 operates in type 4 Stereo/mono modes, according to your needs.
Signal conditioning/limiting
The DCX2496 has 60 user-definable presets for recalling your custom settings, fast and easy set-ups, and maximizing your speaker’s potential. Each input and output features several types of equalization, from highly musical Parametric EQs to precise level-dependent Dynamic EQs. Manual or automatic Delays for each input correct audio arrival time, compensating for room size, temperature, and phase. Integrated limiters on all outputs prevent improper signal levels from creating unwanted distortion and potential speaker damage, keeping your sound tremendous and your gear safe.
