Description
1976 Fender P-Bass with natural finish featuring a A width nut, maple neck and fretboard, ash body, thunderous P-Bass pickups and traditional wiring and fitted with thumb rest (bass side) and stylish string guard over the bridge.
Made in Fullerton, CA (USA).
Modded with unknown 9v powered preamp which allows for a neutral yet boosted by 6db tone in the down position, an 8db midboost in the centre & hi pass filter in the up position.
There has been routing for the epoxied preamp, switch and battery to the body, which is rough but minimally invasive. Both pickguards (main & preamp) have been replaced as has every screw on the guitar aside from neck plate & machine head screws. Original frets are showing little wear for its age.
Currently setup with 55-110 gauge strings, setup in D standard.
Includes original hard shell case and non original leather strap.
